Final Film

Final Film This is the final draft of our film.

First Draft

First draft Our movie's first draft was edited, but it's not the final project as it was short by a couple of seconds. I had to record some clips to end on a different cliffhanger.

Post-Production: Peer Review

Peer Review After filming and Kayla getting some editing done, I decided to show our film's progress to a friend. The friend we showed it to was Sashana. Having her feedback would help us understand what needed to be done as she is a part of the drama club and has watched many films of her own accord. Not mean she has experience as a film analyst, but having her opinion as a viewer would allow us to see things on a more shallow level. As with studying media studies, you end up focusing on the small details more than the obvious ones.

Post Production: Clip Sizes

Clip sizes Kayla focused on the sizes of our clips to help add audio and adapt to the changing of our clips' colors. By doing so, she was able to create a visually appealing and engaging video that kept the audience's attention throughout. Additionally, her attention to detail and ability to seamlessly integrate audio with the changing visuals made for a cohesive and polished final product. I tried to be as much help as possible if needed; however, I let Kayla have full control of the editing since she requested so. Unfortunately, we ended up needing more clips as we were short a couple of seconds, which led us to instead ending on the cliffhanger of Daphne and Pandora meeting, it would be Pandora's death. Kayla's decision to have full control of the editing paid off as the final product was a success. The cliffhanger ending left the audience wanting more and created anticipation for the rest of the film.

Post-Production: Sound

Sound In our editing process, Kayla also focused on sound. Sound in our film is really important, just as color is, since our film doesn't have much dialogue other than the main character speaking. Kayla's attention to sound design has helped to create a more immersive experience for the audience, enhancing the emotional impact of the film. Her work on sound effects and music has added depth and dimension to the story, making it more engaging and memorable. Kayla had previous experience in editing, which made her perfect for being our editor. Due to her attention to detail, our film's opening was created by the best person on hand.

Post Production: Editing Color

Film Editing During the editing of our film my partner and I shared many ideas. When trying to get the horror aspect we used many tactics. We used Wevideo to edit our films. Since my partner was assigned to editing she did most of it, but we still keep communication during the production, making sure to share ideas and give each other updates on what needed to be done. While my partner was editing she focused on color since I filmed during the day we had to change certain aspects like color. The lighting was too bright and took away from the horror mood. During the editing, Kayla focused on many things and then showed them to me to make sure we were in agreeance during the whole process.
