 Welcome to my AICE Media Studies Blog

   Media studies is very important in the day to day life; media can be absorbed in many different ways, each having a different format. Studying media is important to understand the different forms you want to reach out too when creating your own media product. Pre say you wanted to reach out to a younger crowd to advertise a comic strip your creating, you would want to include bright colors and a diverse main character/group that could relate to the target audience. Personally, as someone who falls under the young adult range, would sometimes prefer to see this in more comics. While cool undertones in color schemes are pleasant to look at the brighter tones are pleasant to look at. I tend to enjoy looking at colorful animations just for the display, the plot is an added bonus though. Three of the most interesting things in media studies would be the conventions of a group of people and how they interact with media; the advancements in media, and the advancements of technology pertaining to media evolution.

   The type of media I will be studying in my blog would be Films and Adverts of posters. I would like to create a horror/ thriller type movie, most likely directed toward a younger audience as I could relate to them and understand what they look for in a movie the most. I want to create a horror movie, because I enjoy watching horror movies sometimes, depending on time of course; most horror movies I've seen don't have much of a theme, moreover my theme would be you can't trust what you see. To make a movie about not being able to essentially trust what you see, I would have to study things regarding mental health and studies involved with psychosis. The film would essentially be ready by Christmas.

  Skills I would need to be successful in my blogging would be researching older horror movies, analyzing the audiences reaction to the movie, understanding the conventions of my audience, and going in-depth about my thought process in my blog.
