Pre-production: Planning in film/Film pitch
Film Pitch
A film pitch is a brief summary of a hypothetical film's components, including plot, characters, setting, and theme. It's good to pitch a movie to an audience so you know what to change and adapt more to connect to an audience, that way when you produce the movie it won't be a complete waste of money with some fans. Film producers engage the audience by creating a film based on current events or problems and asking the audience for feedback when pitching their film to the audience.
You may recognize a film opening with the introduction of the production company logo, a title screen, sound in the film, and credits. The production logo helps the audience know who produced the film if they were unaware of the team previous to their movie going. The title screen can give a hint of the genre while providing the audience more information to the film, as a title can provide a lot of information to a film. Opening with sound can let the audience know the film is beginning and give a que to what kind of mood the scene is. The credits provide the film creators with credibility.
